V-formation or Skein

Everytime we see a flock of migratory birds flying over our head, the one thing that will catch our attention is the formation in which they fly. We often see these birds fly in a specific “V” formation – which is also known as SKEIN.

The study behind this unique behaviour shows that by following this particular pattern the birds tend to spend less energy and travel longer distance. Over the period of time even the aviation industry have started adopting this approach.
